Novo Thera advances the Standard of Care (SOC) for the nonprescription topical treatment of wounds and scars.   

The current SOC uses petrolatum-based ointments, often formulated with medical grade silicone, to maintain an occlusive (moist) environment to protect healing.  This is a prophylactic approach to wound and scar care.  

Novo Thera products use a fundamentally different Mechanism of Action.  Powered by NovoSerum, a patented formula of cell-free growth factors derived from human umbilical cord serum, they signal fibroblast cells to activate new tissue growth, which interrupts and reverses scar formation and produces noticeably faster healing.  This is a proactive, regenerative approach to wound and scar care. 

True Story

Progress often begins with a problem, and our founder had one.  A Mohs surgery complication required a skin graft his surgeon performed successfully.  To protect the resulting open wound, the surgeon recommended the current SOC, a petrolatum-based ointment.  Our founder chose to use Rapid Healing Cream instead.        

The results stunned his doctors.  On his first follow-up visit, one asked “Does everyone in your family heal quickly?”  His primary surgeon said, “Keep on doing what you are doing, it’s working.”  That surgeon later cancelled a scheduled dermabrasion and dismissed the contemplated scar revision surgery as unnecessary since there were no visible scars to revise.  (See Mohs pics.)
